Materials and Design Exchange (MaDE)® challenges material scientists to consider applications and provides product designers with material and making options, thus turning ideas and technologies into products the market wants.

The MaDE Partners are Barron Gould, Crafts Council, Creative Interfaces, Henry Royce Institute, Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3), Institution of Engineering Designers, Innovate UK Business Connect, Royal College of Art and University College London.

The MaDE Advisor is Professor Geoff Kirk (University of Nottingham). Ben Watson, Professor Clare Johnston, James Burchill and Phil Brownsord are Honorary Advisors.
